A perfect Darjeeling – slightly acidic, very fragrant and flavourful, yet delicate. Citrusy and muscatel notes, with a fantastic aroma. Be careful not to overbrew – it grows bitter very quickly

Tried this with milk, brewed stronger. It tastes like a cough syrup to me. A very chemical taste to it – probably from the added tastes. No no no no no.
Going to chuck this away and brew a proper cup of tea

Two cups to end the day with. Still my favourite black tea blend, still perfect for all hours

Had a really bad cup of coffee this morning, and this tea washed all the flavour away in a pool of smooth, slightly dry, bright sweetness. A pick me up if ever there was one. I’m bumping up its rating. The only minus to this tea is that it’s not particularly interesting – what you taste at first is what you get all throughout the cup

2nd cup today. Very delicate, strong vegetal scent, with a definite jasmine aftertaste and a slightly milky taste. A tea with a creamy body that brews (gongfu style) to a very light yellow brew

Bio

An Israeli computer programmer with a passion for tea (mostly bought in yearly shopping sprees in the UK), particularly black, oolong and white. I don’t generally enjoy flavoured teas or herbal infusions, but if a tea sounds interesting and smells nice I’ll most definitely try it. I drink several cups of tea a day, usually one or two in the morning, another one after lunch and one or two in the evening. My favourite tea so far is Lao Cong Zi Ya from Norbu Tea, but I’m constantly trying new teas. Only in the past year have I branched into Pu’erh and non-roasted oolongs. Finding good tea in Israel is difficult, so I import most of my teas from yearly visits to London, or from online retailers. If you see something in my cupboard that sparks your interest and you would like to swap with me, then please message me. I’m almost always up for a swap.
