I got a generous amount of this tea in a swap with Liquid Proust a couple weeks ago. I found it to be a pretty good daily drinker-ish yancha. The dry leaf had an aroma of roasted nuts, with roasty vegetal and mineral aromas after a rinse.
The first four steeps display soft mineral and floral notes, highlighted by a very bright peachy fruit finish. I really like when yancha have that fruity finish, so for the first few steeps of this, I was very impressed. Unfortunately, that fruitiness started to fade by the fourth steep and was almost nonexistent after.
I found this tea to taper off pretty quickly – could get maybe 7 real steeps from it, followed by a couple pretty wimpy ones. Good quick sessions – I think the real thing you’re compromising on with the lower price of this one is longevity.
