Still one of my favorite ripe teas I’ve tried. It’s a good, cheap workhorse, awesome when you just want to bang out a quick session without feeling like you’re “wasting” some of your higher quality tea. Simple flavors, woody and chocolatey. Rich and thick in the mouth. Definitely some fermentation flavor, but it only comes across in the aftertaste, and not too intensely. Light enough that I don’t find the first steep to be unpleasant when using only one rinse. Sessions don’t last too long due to the small material, but the tea gets going quickly with some of the really dark liquid that I seem to like in shou.
