I bought this tea because I liked the 2009 version with the identical looking box. This one is decent, but I do prefer the 2009. 2010’s brick is a little less sweet, has a bit less body to it. It also gives out sooner. Woody flavors expected from a ripe puerh are present, and it develops a sourness which I find slightly off-putting if oversteeped. Once the tea starts to give out, a distinct metallic flavor is noticed. Pretty decent, but as I said, I prefer the 2009. Not sure if that’s due to the one year difference (I doubt it) or if they just have different material. Oh, and the 2009 is so much easier to break apart. I believe the proper tool for breaking apart this 2010 brick would be a hammer and chisel…holy crap, tea dust and frag everywhere.
