35 Tasting Notes
This tea smells just like gummy peach rings! I enjoyed it although it has a bit of a tang or sharpness that surprised me.
With teas that smell very sweet or fruity I find myself wanting to taste that exact flavor in the tea, leaving me almost chasing the taste as it is not fully present in the tea (i.e. I am not actually eating a peach)…it’s an interesting feeling.
Preparation
Very smooth and not bitter. I think I may have underbrewed it since the liquor is not as dark as I expected – since I am new to loose leaf I am still figuring things out. Another reviewer covered their mug, which I did not do, so perhaps I am letting too much of the heat escape? Good breakfast tea, with a bit of honey for me.
Preparation
Being originally from Argentina, and growing up drinking mate, I was very curious when this tea arrived in a tin next to a teapot as a holiday gift from my cohort.
Compared to traditional mate it is a completely different experience. It is a little sweet and spicy (like cinnamon) and I do get the slight tongue numbing feeling others have mentioned.
The mate of my childhood is much stronger and less complex in flavor.
Overall I enjoy it. However, I am just getting into loose tea and have a world of tea to explore, so I might not come back to this one for a while.
