16 Tasting Notes
Im very surprised, because my experience is very diferent to Thomas one…
Infused leaves have honey flavor and a very balanced not very bitter soup..i didn’t feel artificial like flavors, intead this tea is that could be expected in a good or average Yiwu tea…The tea last about 8 infusions…It would be great if other people tell us their experience with this puerh…!
Flavors: Honey
Preparation
Dry leaves have floral notes. Shiny yellow liquour with noticeable smoky flavor and some bitternes (expected for this age and pedigree), not sweet. Bring me about eight good infusions in a small gaiwan. Ifused leaves are small and mostly broken, few tips. Leaving aside our smoked nature is regular puerh. Perhaps it is a good gateway to Xiaguan world.
Flavors: Smoked
Preparation
Strong and aromatic first infusions, with very pleasant bitterness and camphor taste, no smokiness. Leaves look right (not spectacular at all), but appears to be good aged and compressed (not too tight). I step multiple infusions and feels a good qi and and a sweet aftertaste . I believe this a good 7542.
But this tea from Aliexpress. Good looking cake, with medium aged look and little pressed leaves, but with poor fragance . I taste it two times with 6 and 7 g, little astringency and thin body..Infused leaves have a very soft scent to camphor and looks broken, with lot of stems. I think could be a fake cake or a authentic low quality blend. Overall taste is flat with little complexity.
Purchased in Dragon tea house (2015). I like this tea, fresh and citric flavor, little smoky in the first infusions and camphor notes in later ones, beautiful leaves. Let rest some minutes after the first rise, so the leaves hydrate and expand. I prefer a bit strong infusions so I use 5g of leaves in 100 cc of water. Recommend it
