drank Lemon Ginger Tea by Stash Tea

This tea, though good for something bagged, is definitely not natural tasting. When I think of tea with ginger I expect something hot and spicy, with a nice kick to it. This tea has the ginger kick but it doesn’t feel very fresh or natural, as ginger usually does. I had to steep it a bit longer to get the kick in there. The acidity of lemon and that kick of ginger are usually a good combination but were mild in this tea. Ginger is definitely the dominating flavour and the aftertaste is lemon (although it is a rather synthetic aftertaste). It has not been my favourite but it isn’t the worst I’ve tried and it is very practical and good if you’re on the move. Adding honey improves the overall taste.

I have a feeling this would be good iced; I will try that out sometime.

drank Coconut by Adagio Teas
3 tasting notes

I had read the reviews for this tea in the Adagio Teas website and was quite anxious to taste it. The taste of coconut was not as strong as I thought it would be but it was quite nice. This is a tea that I would recommend drinking while still hot because it doesn’t taste as good when cooled down.

What you can expect is a very dominant black tea taste with fresh coconut taste (not so much toasted coconut). I do think the coconut taste could be stronger but perhaps that is just me.

Along with this tea I ordered hazelnut and cream because I heard they were good mixed with this tea. Hazelnut and coconut went together nicely but coconut and cream was a disappointment, mostly because the cream tea was not of my liking. I would like to know if perhaps other mixes can bring out the coconut flavour a bit more.

All in all, this tea is definitely worth trying if you like black tea.

drank Winterberry Wine by DAVIDsTEA
3 tasting notes

Just a few days ago I discovered David’s Tea at the mall. They had a tea of the day and gave me a sample, it was this tea. The second the tea was in my mouth I was filled with joy and warmth. It’s naturally sweet with a fruity and cinnamon taste that made me think of a winter scene (in a happy way).

I personally let the tea steep for 10 minutes and let it cool before drinking (I feel it tastes a bit sweeter that way). It does say on the label the water temperature must be 98 degrees C, and it does get the flavour out thoroughly.

This is a limited edition holiday tea, so get it while it’s still available!
