2021 Sipdown #3:
This one was really good but I still prefer the Premium Golden Monkey tea from this company. The best by date for this sample was last May so it could also just be not quite as fresh. Still delicious though! Sipped on a pot of this while cooking a New Year’s themed dinner. My grandmother really enjoyed this one as well. Overall just a lovely black tea with no bitterness or astringency. Not one you have to worry about oversteeping.

Thanks Cameron for sending me this to try! I’ve been saving it for New Years.
The dry sachet of this smells strongly of grape Hi-Chews deliciousness!
Steeped the tea definitely has a grape Hi-Chew like flavor as well as some floral perfume like notes. I get the champagne as well it has an almost bubbly like quality to it though leaning more towards champagne than soda. I probably steeped it a tad long and would steep it a bit shorter next time.I bet this would be delicious iced as well. This is my first grape tea I’ve tried from Lupicia and I definitely would repurchase this and want to try their other grape teas as well.

Happy New Year’s Eve , We had a lot of leftover baking ingredients from Christmas so I ended up making this Magnolia Bakery Copycat Banana Pudding recipe and the family loved it.
Lately I’ve been trying to drink up older teas or things I don’t normally reach for. This is one of those teas It was a gift from my grandparents that they brought back from a trip to Europe. I made a small pot of this to drink today and revisit.
I mainly get the taste of the green tea base from this tea and given the quality of it actually I believe I should try making this tea cold next time. The mango and sea buckthorn berries provide a slightly floral mango medicinal note to the tea. I have a big bag of this to go through so cold brewing it might be the best way to use it up.

Flavors: Astringent, Bitter, Drying, Floral, Mango, Metallic, Vegetal

I drink tea for many reasons: For pleasure, health benefits, mindfulness, to help with anxiety, hydration because I have always struggled with drinking plain water.
My rating system is kind of a mess and I keep telling myself I’ll fix it sometime.
