Made this for a family member since I had an sample packet leftover from an old order. I remembered that they liked this one when they tried a sample of it iced in stores. I didn’t care for it at the time. This time I made it hot and there were no additives in it.
I tried a few sips because I’ve been craving fruity teas lately and Lemon even though I used to be pretty picky I’m getting less and less regarding fruity teas. It seems that I really need to order some more since my cupboard doesn’t have much fruit flavored teas. I feel like I still have too many teas though to order yet even though a fair amount are samples.
This time trying it hot for the first time It really fits the name, The yogurt notes and rhubarb come through strong. This reminds me of the Rhubarb Cheesecake I made last year for my mother’s Birthday except less sweet of course. There are some soapy notes as well though which is unfortunate. Perhaps I steeped it a bit too long. I’m slightly wishing that this cup was mine to drink now but still ended up giving it to the family member. I remember the other sample packet I had of this ended up down the sink after a few sips. Now I have no more samples of this. It’s funny how your taste buds change and adapt/expand. I finally see why a lot of people like this one. This tea will sit at the current rating because I would have to try a few more cups of this to really get a good test of how much I like this tea. It came up from a 5 to a 54 though which is a lot.
Flavors: Cheesecake, Rhubarb, Tangy, Tart, Yogurt
I’ve noticed my palate change a lot just over the last year, too.
It’s the noble thing to do to give the tea to your guest, though!
