13 Tasting Notes
This tea can be overwhelming. Since I discovered that I have a caffeine sensitivity, I keep this down to 1/2 tsp. 3/4 if I need the caffeine… but no more then that. It is a good tea! I would use this one in moderation, though.
Flavors: Caramel, Vanilla
Preparation
I am not sure if I truly would recommended this tea. It’s… alright tasting. After trying the vanilla chai, also from Bigelow, I was certain I would enjoy the Caramel one the same, if not more. Oh, how wrong I was. This one is more spice, with just barley enough caramel to be able to label it as such. I wish I would’ve skipped on this one, but… At least now I know that even in the same brand and style, tea can vary. And quite greatly.
Flavors: Spices
It really is a treat, this tea. I adore the smell. The one thing that gets me, though is that this is one of those teas that really needs some sweetener and milk. You loose much of the spicy essence that you smelled before putting it in the cup, without. This is probably not a problem for those of you who do this regularly. I just happen to be more into the tea’s own flavors, rather than forcing my cuppa to be sweet. This is the only tea I will put anything into, just so it tastes as good as it smells. I would defiantly recommend to anyone who does not mind fiddling with sugar and milk.
