9 Tasting Notes
Okay so…this tea came out kinda perfumey when i tried it but looking back at the website, I see now that a sample pack makes about 10 cups >_>. Oops…I only made 4 cups from my sample. It IS easy to over-steep but since it was still tasty and SO INEXPENSIVE!! I won’t write off Adagio just yet.
Preparation
This was the first earl grey I’ve ever tried so I’m not exactly sure how earl grey is supposed to taste but this was very enjoyable. As with every Octavia tea I’ve had it never went bitter even when oversteeped. I tried another earl grey from adagio later on but I didn’t enjoy it as much since it seemed perfume-y and went bitter very easily. Maybe Octavia set my standards too high.
This tea blend started off my loving relationship with loose leaf tea. It’s so warm and comforting, not too overpowering with cinnamon spice death overlord attack. I’m trying to find a less expensive alternative to this because this is their ONLY tea I like, but no luck so far. Dang you Teavana with your one good tea and your cute overpriced teawares!!! OH and those samples in the store that are sooooo yummy are PACKED with tea so they can sell the product more easily. Like 6 times more than they tell you that you need at home. Tricksy little hobbitses >_>
