drank Thai Chai by Adagio Teas

Made a pot of this for my boyfriend and I this morning and it’s as good as ever. This is rapidly becoming my favorite tea and the non-tea-drinking boyfriend-creature likes it too. :D

“non-tea-drinking boyfriend-creature” nearly made me spit out my tea! Thanks for the laugh :)

LENA

great post! my sample comes in tomorrow…I’m so excited to try this!

I too have a non-tea-drinking-husband-creature. I keep trying to convert.

I steeped this for a bit too long and the almond taste is a bit too strong. It’s not undrinkable but I’ll have to remember to keep a better eye on the steeping time.

This tea has a sweet, sort of light flavour with a hint of toastiness.

Re-steeped the leaves from last night and it came out a little weak. Meh.

An old standby, especially in the morning.

Unfortunatly steeping this longer doesn’t make it taste better, only more herb-y. Basically it tastes like it’s ‘good’ for you. :S

Looks like you’ll have to wait a month down there in the States. ;p

Steeped for 1.5 minutes. The tea wasn’t bitter but I couldn’t taste and strawberry or current flavours in it with this short a steeping time. The mix of green teas seems a little weird because you lose the individual flavours and characteristics of each tea.

Wow. That IS short. Is that what they say to steep it for? Strange. If you name a tea “Japanese Treasures,” I’d expect it to knock my metaphorical socks off. Sounds like this is a miss.

Jillian

The recommended steeping time is 1-2 minutes, so yeah. I used to like this one when I was less educated in ‘the way of tea’, lol, but I think I have higher standards now that I know what good green tea tastes like.

Steeped this morning for 2.5 minutes and it came out very nice with the rose not too overpowering.

Bio

I’m a university student in her twenties who’s currently working her way toward a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science degree. I love both science and science-fiction and I’m a history nut on top of that. Maybe I should just call myself a nerd and leave it there. ;)

I’ve been drinking tea since I was young but it’s only in the past couple years that I’ve become interested in the good-quality stuff.
