After my asparagus trauma I needed a tea that was, well, vanilla! I picked this – the most gentle vanilla in my collection. It did not disappoint. I drank it sitting on my couch with graham crackers like I was 5 years old and never knew there was such a thing as a tea that tasted like asparagus. It is also very forgiving – I oversteeped it a minute too long because I had to wash my cat’s feet* and it tasted just fine – definitely perfect at 4 minutes but very drinkable at 5. Not bitter, just strong.
*My cat Marty is 20 (!!!) years old and is a bit senile and he has the strangest things stuck to him sometimes!Preparation

Morgana – Yes – it’s amazing. My household is all geriatric animals – a 20 year old cat and 14 year old Beagle doggie. They are both the best old men!!! I love them so much. They cuddle each other on the couch!
mrawlins2 – I hope so too. :) They are so mellow and loving when they are old.
I currently have 3 cats. One is 7 and the two others are 6 (litter mates). Hard to believe they’re already as old as they are, seems like just yesterday I could hold one of the younger ones in one hand. They grow up so fast [insert sappy, sentimental sigh and sniffing sounds here ;-)]
Y’all are making me sad that I don’t have cats yet. Morgana, if you want a perpetual dose of kittens, may I recommend the IBKC? http://www.theittybittykittycommittee.com/2009/07/bathtub-ping-pong-ball-kittens-hours-of.html
Tea Bird – what an adorable site! As a person who visits Cute Overload every day
it is much appreciated!!!!! :)
Both those websites are SO cute. The little kitty in the pumpkin looks like my cat when he was a baby…awww!
Aw, poor kitties with odd things stuck to their feet! My 19yo has the same problem – except instead of odd things it is usually gross things. But we won’t think about that!
Tea Bird – Thanks for sharing that adorable site! The bookmark for it is going right next to CO for those rougher work days where cuteness is required!
Auggy – Marty is sometimes gross too! Last night it was leaves and fluffy spring seeds that the dog brought in though, thankfully (Marty is 100% indoor cat). He stopped grooming himself and he has food on his nose every single meal time. He has to eat wet food because he only has 5 teeth! The worst though is when he is not careful in the litter box. I bought him a special one with lower sides which makes it easier on his old back legs but some days are better than others.
Yay for long-lived cats. I had a Siamese that lived to 24 and a tabby that lived to 18!
I hope my cat lives that long (he is 4). I guess we’ll just have to wait and see though.

Cheers to Marty!
Such a cute website (ibkc). I sent it to my wife’s sister. Her cat Minnie is almost 17.
