12 Tasting Notes
My mom got me this for Christmas, and I really wanted to like it. However, I have the same problems with it that I have with lots of other high camomile blends: it tastes like soap or a scented candle to me. My favorite part was the gorgeous pink color that it had when brewed.
I love this tea, but I think it’s an acquired taste. It’s nutty and strong, but if you leave it too long it gets very bitter. I brew mine on the short side, and use it for multiple steepings. It’s a great tea to wake up with, and I love watching the rice puff up as it steeps.
Preparation
I switch back and forth between this and Barry’s Tea depending on my mood. This is a nice Scottish blend, but I’m not sure it’s so much better than Barry’s that it’s worth paying the extra money for it. Strong, but less of a crisp bite than some others.
