I love dessert teas and creamy caramel and coconut things, and I love the idea of a soothing night time tea, so this sounded like it was right in my wheelhouse. I ordered my 50g bag when it was finally released and it has been sold out pretty consistently since. It’s clearly very popular. I don’t think that I will ever purchase more of this, though. I don’t like the apple in this and it has a strong apple taste to me. The apple comes off sour and tart, and strangely boozy, like apples that are starting to rot and ferment. The caramel and coconut add a sickly sweetness that I can’t exactly identify as coconut or caramel. It comes off as a very artificial sweetness to me. The whole thing tastes sort of like overripe apples in a butter rum sauce. It has a definite sour quality that I find off putting.
I’m giving this a higher-ish rating, though, because the people that I’ve served it to at my home are actually fans of it (even one friend who normally hates sweet teas).
As far as being relaxing and making me sleepy, it doesn’t… but I have PTSD (and the related insomnia), so nothing short of my prescription medication will put me to sleep.
My only other complaint is that I can’t use this in my usual David’s Tea mugs, because little particles escape through the metal mesh and the cup becomes sort of sludgy and gross. Works fine in the David’s Tea bags, though.
I’m going to keep dreaming of a lavender and coconut tea (maybe a hint of mint?) with no caffeine. That’s what I want to go to bed with :)

I’m honestly not incredibly knowledgeable about teas. My experience with tea is mainly with Adagio when I am in the States and DavidsTea when I am in Canada. DavidsTea made me fall in love with tea. I was initially seduced by their cake flavored teas and then started branching out and finding more and more to love. I like all of their bright colors and seasonal mugs, and I enjoy their fun ‘flavored teas’ as much as their more traditional teas. I figure this is at least a good starting point :)
