100 Tasting Notes
It’s not vile but it’s unsettling. I had a few sips and it made me sick to my stomach.
Very dry. Kind of a natural sweetness. Makes me think a lot of the blackberry black tea I used to get before the wife got into loose teas. This would probably be much better with a touch of sugar… Adding sugar seems to take away most of the dryness and brings out the berry flavor. Sugar bumps up the points a little.
The tea has that Darjeeling dryness/sharpness at the end. Very smooth for a Darjeeling though. I can get notes of honey. Trying to come up with a word for the other taste at the beginning of the flavor – it’s not roasty but maybe toasted. Slightly creamy and warm.
