8 Tasting Notes
This is a type of tea that is totally different to me. I’ve never heard of Dragon Pearls, so I thought I’d give it a go. Today, I was with my awesome, tea loving aunt(MsWhatsIt) and we ventured to our favorite tea store. Upon arrival, I was totally draw to the black tea selection. I love love LOVE black teas. Anyways, I saw a funny looking loose leaf tea that was tightly wound up into balls. I saw the the name was Dragon Pearls. I then opened the small jar and took in the aroma of this tea. Loving the smell of it, I of course bought it. It took me a while to get home this afternoon, but that’s okay. The tea was worth the wait. After tasting it, I thought it tasted a little funny. Again a tea I’m not used to trying. After a few more sips, I decided it needed a little bit of sugar, and by a little bit, I mean just a pinch. Too much would cancel out the naturally sweet part of this. I love i! It’s sweet, and tasteful. It’s got a bit of a mint undertone. Not something you taste right away, but like a little after taste. All in all, it tastes wonderful and it’s going to take all I have to not drink it all!!
Preparation
I was thinking one day, while on my break at work, “Man! I need some new tea!” Even though my tea cabinet is full of several kinds, and variations of teas. So, I went to Price Cutter, thinking, they’re not gonna have what I want. I was browsing, and a red box caught my eye. I picked it up and looked it over. I put it up to my nose and the aroma had me hooked. I got back to work and opened the box,my mouth starting watering the instant I smelled it again. A coworker asked for a couple of bags, and we would compare tea notes the next day. I eagerly went home, and started the tea pot. The wait was killing me! Finally it had steeped to perfection! I added a couple of teaspoons of sugar, and I was hooked! I now have like 3 boxes of this stuff! I love it as much as I love my chais! Sooooo gooooood!!!
Yet another tea I got for Christmas. I’m very happy with the taste, although I do think it’d be better as a cold brew, for a nice refreshing sweet tea in the summer. The taste is an interesting one, and not something I’m much used to, but it’s good nonetheless. The steam and aroma from this tea seems to help with this horrible stuffy nose I’m suffering from lol. My mother gave some of this tea in a little tea sampler that she and my aunt had made. I do like it, but not as much as others. On a scale of 1-10, I would give this about a 7.5 :)
Preparation
Just getting home from a wonderful day with my awesome aunt, I thought I’d give the tea she had bought me for Christmas a try. At first I wasn’t sure, because mostly I drink herbal teas. But the aroma made my mouth water. i let it steep for the least amount of time it said, and it tastes just like fruit plate, I guess would be the right way to say the taste. I took a little taste when it was done without sugar, and it tasted fine, but I found a small, very small amount of sugar makes all the flavor come out perfectly. Thank you very much Aunt Mswhatsit!!! :D
Preparation
My aunt didn’t like this tea so she gave it to me. I love it! I actually quite enjoy it with out sugar, but tonight I thought I’d try it with a little bit. I asked my boyfriend what he thought and had him add the sugar. He added two level spoon fulls of sugar, and it tasted just like a candy cane. And I for one looove candy canes. I do have to say though, I think one spoon full of sugar might have been enough. I’m kind of sad that it only comes out during the holiday season, so I’ll have to get some more, ya know stock up on it a bit so I can have it whenever I want! :) I love this tea! It’s quickly become one of my favorites.
Preparation
So I’m sitting here watching some cartoons on Netflix, and I decide to try this. I just bought it today. I was going to make four different cups, to try and find a way I like it. But only after one cup, I’ve decided that I will not buy this tea again. I’ll finish this box, and be done. It’s bitter, and not strong enough. I let it steep for about 5 and half minuets, the length of time I usually steep any tea. It does however have a wonderful aroma, and would taste a little better w/o the after taste, and little less cinnamon. Not very impressed, I’m sad to say.
Preparation
I love this tea! It’s wonderful for soothing a sore throat, and great for just something to drink. Adding only two teaspoons of sugar and a little bit of cinnamon, and a splash of milk really brings out the flavour of it. I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys a nice warm cup of chai spice :)
