I love this. It was a gift from my daughter, but I first experienced it because my son’s fiancee has one. I find that just dumping the leaves and rinsing it has been enough for cleaning, though sometimes I’ll soak it with some soap. I’ve never tried it in the dishwasher. I like it especially for teas that have a wonderful color, such as Ureshino Tama Ryokucha.

Bio

Episcopal priest, hospital chaplain, mother of two 20-somethings, wife of college professor, writer and knitter. Never liked Lipton, and once I discovered green properly brewed I was hooked. Have been exploring teas as an enthusiastic novice for maybe 10 years or so. I tend to favor greens and oolongs, without sugar or milk or lemon. The taste of the tea itself is important to me, so I don’t do a lot of bubble teas. Once in a while, though, a bubble tea is just the thing. Fruit teas are something I normally avoid, as they are often too acidic. I’m open to try new shops, so will be looking for reviews of tea rooms in places I travel to, such as Minneapolis, Boston, NYC.
