I don’t often reach to the back of my cupboard for this tea, but when I want a smoky rich cuppa, there is no other to compare. Today is just the right day — the first day of autumn, a damp day spent indoors, sorting the summer things out of the house and preparing for cooler days ahead.
Although it is not my every-day tea, I couldn’t think of ejecting it from my tea collection. As others have mentioned, it does offer a salty or broth-like brew. For those of you who cook with tea, it actually stands up pretty well and provides an interesting flavor when added into a soup broth.
