6 Tasting Notes
Smells and tastes like a Pina Colada.
I’m a very, very big fan of Malibu rum as well as a Bay Breeze with Malibu which is made with cranberry juice and pineapple juice. That’s what I’d like to try next as a variation of flavored tea. 5 out of 5 stars.
Flavors: Coconut, Pineapple
I’ve had a sample of this sitting in my cupboard for longer than I care to admit. I finally decided to open up the package and try it. Though the directions say to use the entire packet in one cup that is WAY too much for me and I easily was able to divide it into 2 flavorful (and pre-sweetened) cups.
I read reviews on here that compared the cinnamon taste to sucking on a Red Hot candy or chewing a Big Red cinnamon gum. That’s it. There’s no other way to explain the taste. I’ll be finishing off the last of this sample but there’s no way I’d ever purchase this. I have way too many better-tasting chais I can chose over this.
Flavors: Cinnamon
I drank this after a boxing workout and then again before going into work and trying to wake up. The strawberry was the strongest tastes, not sure about the cream yet but I love the mix of fruit with cream and coconut mixed with a black tea.
With that combination not much could go wrong in my mind, though I usually stray toward nutty and earthy teas rather than the fruits. Especially now that it’s winter time.
Flavors: Strawberry
This tea put me to sleep (in a good way). Every time I had a sip it was harder and harder for me to keep my eyes open.
With that said, I drank it in the evening so I didn’t want to sweeten it. Next time, I’d like to try it with a bit of honey to see how the flavors pop differently.
With the second steeping I could taste the cheesecake part more than the first time.
Preparation
I didn’t put any sweetener in this. The smell is so comforting on a December night. The cinnamon takes over any other taste but I didn’t mind it. Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this again but it came with a bundle of two other holiday Republic Of Tea flavors and I will be drinking it again. I’d give it a 3 out of 5 star rating.
