29 Tasting Notes
Who would have thought that mixing this with Ti Kuan Yin would be the perfect complement to the 2nd round of the NFL draft…steeped 2 times and both perfect. Hard to mess up Ti Kuan Yin, really….perfect base for ANYTHING
Preparation
Got the flavored tea sampler from Adagio and use these as little “enhancers” in many of my green teas. I put a 1/2 teaspoon of this in with my Body + Mind by Teavana (2tsp to 16 oz) and it REALLY added a sweet zest to an otherwise light tasting tea, but, didn’t overpower it
Preparation
This one is INTERESTING…in a very stellar way.
Has a soft, gentle taste (sound like a romance novel) but there is a definate fruity scent and a little hint of maybe pear or something along that line.
It’s actually a mix of green and white…really invigorating. Had it before and during a meeting in the afternoon and it had me zinging.
Plus, the leaves expand tremendously during steeping…got 2 good 16 oz glasses out of 3 teaspoons.
WOW…in my early tasting days, this is hands down the BEST I’ve had.
The smell is incredible, like a fresh fruit display on the street…the taste isn’t too citrus but gives enough flavor to make you completely forget it’s a green. Yet, you totally get that wonderful, wholesome feeling that green gives you.
I can see why if you started with this, as several I know did, you’d be hooked on tea.
Preparation
I love it when a FREE sample rocks. The smell it melt your face, even with the small little bag I opened up. But, you can taste all the good parts of it right away…sweet, not bitter lemon…surrounded by the slight taste of ginger (which I know well from my love of Moscow Mules). This sample will likely turn into an order.
Preparation
Upon first look, I thought it was a green tea. Then, add water and the leaves turn a dark, rich black. It has a smell that reminds me of bailing hay as a kid, but, that is a good thing in this case. Strong, bold taste that is somehow unique, but, takes in all the familar things you love about other black tea. Right on.
Try this at a 1to1 mixture with Raspberry Riot from Teavana…..
