199 Tasting Notes
When I ordered this, I had expected more of a familiar Earl Grey aspect to it because of the bergamot. In the end, that is not what I pick up on. I mostly get the black tea, a little fruit, a little vanilla, and something sweet or caramelly (yeah…that’s not actually a word, is it?). Nice, but I’m pretty sure I oversteeped a bit. My second steep tasted totally different and was void of the vanilla and caramel flavors. Hmmm. I’ll have to give it another go and rate again later.
The first thing I tasted was a caramel/honey sort of thing going on. Otherwise, this shares similar flavors with Paris, which I tried first (even though I’m pretty sure I’m writing these tasting notes out of order). This was nicely sweet without adding anything to it. I’ll try this cold next!
Flavors: Fruity, Honey
Got this in the Numi Organic sampler box and loved how it smelled both before and during brewing. The little rose petal flecks are even pretty in the bag. The rose flavor was pretty light, but I could definitely see myself drinking this often. I’ll also be excited to try more rose teas!
I really like this! It smells wonderful and tastes nice and rich! This one is definitely going to get mixed with other stuff quite often. I love that it is caffeine free so that I can mix it with other flavors for a dessert tea at night just as easily as adding it for flavor in the morning.
Flavors: Caramel
First, let me say that I will DEFINITELY be buying this in my next H&S order! I got a sample of this in my recent order and am blown away by how much I like it. I immediately smelled the peach when I opened the bag. It’s lightly sweet and so so good. I brewed it hot this time, but I imagine cold would be lovely, too :)
Flavors: Peach
Whoa! So lemony! When I ordered this, I must have been so blinded by the beautiful tin that I totally skipped over the part where it said lemon and only paid attention to “green tea” and “flowers.” To be honest, upon first opening the tin, all I smelled was Lysol. I forced myself to try a cup and just ignore the smell. The taste is better and the fragrance calms down quite a bit after brewing. I’m never really a huge fan of lemon scented things, but I won’t mind drinking this. Definitely going to try it iced next.
Flavors: Lemon
This was a free sample for posting to Facebook on my first order…I’m glad I didn’t pay for it. Pumpkin?….Where? Now, it’s not a bad tea. It just isn’t what it’s supposed to be, in my opinion. Will I drink the rest of the sample? Most certainly….but….like….with my eyes closed when I reach for the bag ;)
Flavors: Spices
That’s it! No more honeybush til I get a better infuser! It’s insane just how much of this I ended up chewing….it’s a good thing it tasted good. I think I would rather blend this with something than to drink it straight, but I was very pleasantly surprised with its flavor. It would pair wonderfully with chocolate flavors. I’m going to try making a cup of this mixed with a bit of the Cream sample that I also got from Adagio. This also makes me want to try their black tea version of hazelnut. It’s certainly nice to have a cup of this sitting nearby just to smell it!
