I’m really enjoying this tea today. I steeped it for 3 minutes, & then re-steeped for 5. Both were delicious! This has a really nice dark flavor & is seriously smooth, honestly today it is reminding me somewhat of Premium Taiwanese Assam, because of the really smoothness & even-ness of it, but of course it is different. The depth of this tea is very bassy, & I think it would especially appeal to coffee drinkers.
And black tea lovers like me.

So glad you like this tea. I brought all of this current crop back during my 4/12 trip… I feel like this black tea is superb… grown in a super clean growing area and getting to the point where the age is prime. I prefer Simao area teas best at about 1.5 to 4 or so yrs old. Most hong cha from other areas seems to really lose its steam a little after a year where this is just getting going!!! Thanks for writing about it!
teeeriiii! i want my box! lol course then i need to drink mandala samples asap so i can decide on an order!

I will definitely have to get some more on my next order, as it’s already almost gone!
