This one has been hanging out in my cabinet for some time. I’m not sure where it came from. Maybe a tea gnome snuck it into the house. I’ve had this many times before as its a staple found in many restaurants but I’ve never sipped it with thoughtful intention.
I prefer it over the English Breakfast Tea. It is smooth and malty. Would drink it again, if it was offered. Probably wouldn’t purchase because I have become more intrigued in the huge variety of teas out there!
Fun to read over the reviews from the last 12 years. Noted that no one has reviewed it in the last 5+ years!

Ok I want a STRONG rich milk tea and this is the closest one I’ve got so far:
1tbsp+1tsp tea (~9-10g I guess) with ~225mL water and 50mL milk (adjustable)
You’ll get a very nice copper colour and a burst of flavour, malty or caramel like.
This was so good I haven’t tried drinking it straight before I ran out of a tin..

Another classic, Twinings has a straightforward approach that does not cut any corners.
Initial notes are a strong maltiness, thanks to the Assam tea used but with the tangy bite of a classic Ceylon black tea steeped perfectly. It will certainly wake you up! Or at very least put a little hair on your chest. This is partially due to the tannin on the finish, which lingers in the throat as a reminder that you are enjoying a good hearty cup.
This is a great breakfast tea since it would be very receptive to cream or your choice of sweetener. The tea equivalent of a good dry red wine or quality black coffee. The caffeine is present and welcomed.
Easy stock for the pantry and cost-effective. The sort of offering that comes from a company with centuries of blending and brewing experience. I would recommend this for a bright start to your day.

This stuff is not bad considering the price I paid. It has a note of malt and a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Overall it is goof for the price of the tea.
I brewed this once in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 200 degree water for 3 minutes.
This was my first time trying any kind of Irish Breakfast. The liqueur was a very rich, deep red… about 5 seconds into the steep. I pulled out the teabag well in advance of its recommended steeping time. It has an earthy, malty flavor that I suppose must be characteristic of Irish Breakfast. I guess that I just don’t like that.

I should help you remedy that. Love this one, drink it reasonably frequently, just don’t mention it much!
