From Harney & Sons

The rich flavors of Thailand are the inspiration for this tasty blend. It is a combination of green tea, lemongrass, coconut and ginger.

This is my go-to tea when I’m looking for something light. Or when I’m lazy, as I have it in bag version.
Everything I love about tea is in its description: “coconut, vanilla, ginger, and lemongrass.” And why wouldn’t I love this? The ginger is almost not there, which I’m totally okay with, as I’m not a fan. But it blends together so nicely that nothing sticks out, and I’m left with something refreshing to battle my Monday morning.
I’m almost out of my stash, surprisingly, and I do believe I’ll be replenishing this one.

I loved the description for this tea and thought I would love it as I’m a big lemongrass and Thai food fan. Unfortunately, this hits a bit too close to actual Thai food tastes – it was like sipping green curry. It has a very fatty, buttery taste which, combined with the coconut, tastes like coconut milk.

A cold, dreary day—but the aroma of this tea made me feel much better—coconut, ginger and a bit of the lemongrass. The steeped tea’s aroma was much milder, but I could taste the coconut with a kick of ginger. An interesting combination that I’ll look forward to again.

A very light aromatic tea. It doesn’t taste as robust as it smells, leading to a lot of confusion to those new to the flavor.

My new shipment is even a little bit better than the tin that took me about a year to go through

Advent tea
I don’t usually have a green tea so early in the morning, but this is a nice mellow cup with coconut, ginger and the slightest lemongrass note. The seconds steep is muted but still pleasant. I’d add this one to an order from H&S.

If you have to spend Saturday afternoon cleaning the kitchen, at least do it with Brian Setzer’s Big Band Christmas Extravaganza cranked to an obnoxious level so you can jump, jive, and wail while you scour the sink!

However, there’s only so much Stray Cat Strutting one can do before one needs a break, and I’m taking it with a cup kindly furnished by Lexie Aleah. This afternoon, I’m not getting heavy lemongrass/ginger vibes, but the coconut and vanilla are making visions of light, fluffy coconut macaroons dance in my head.

A lovely little break while I cool my jets and rev them back up to scrub the floor. Wanna come help?

I need to deep clean my kitchen before I start holiday baking… Somehow it just never gets done…

Evol Ving Ness

I too am in deep avoidance.

Mastress Alita

I had planned to clean the kitchen today, and then I only got my tea infuser Smart Soaked and the kettle de-scaled. Priorities……..?

gmathis

I’m a terrible housekeeper, so nothing is ever truly clean around here, but I can accurately say that things are less dirty!

mrmopar

Brian Setzer, we are dating our ages on that one.

gmathis

I guess that means I’ll have to retire my Go-Go’s t-shirt? ;)

Crowkettle

I’d come help you clean if that meant procrastinating my own “to do list” for a little longer! ;)

Lexie Aleah

Also need to Descale my tea kettle. Love this idea for the kitchen cleaning that comes with hosting for the holidays though! Glad you enjoyed it! I really like this one!

Made this as an iced tea during the heatwave and it was really yummy iced. I’m kind of weird about lemongrass in tea so I can’t wait to try it hot. The flavors are very similar to Thai with the lovely coconut and lemongrass and ginger. Next time I get Thai food I’ll definitely see how this tea pairs with it brewed hot.

I’ve seen this in the Harney lineup for years and wondered what it was like. It does sound like a good summer ice-downer.

ashmanra

I have not tried this one in many years. I need to throw a sample in with my next order.

Lexie Aleah

It was definitely a unique flavor profile for an iced tea but the coconut in it is really yummy.

I had initially tried a sample of this, and enjoyed it so much that I just purchased a tin. I generally don’t enjoy coconut teas, but found this one to be excellent. The lemongrass, coconut, vanilla, and ginger work together very harmoniously with the green tea.

At first, I get mostly a coconut scent with a little lemongrass. The ginger is more present when brewed. There is a nice coconut flavour with ginger notes.

Overall, a very good green blend.
