From Butiki Teas

Caramel Vanilla Assam pairs our Premium Taiwanese Assam with rich caramel and soft vanilla. The caramel and vanilla notes meld with the tea and almost taste as though they are naturally part of the Assam. Cacao, raisin, and citrus notes can also be detected in this smooth and malty tea. Add a little sugar for a decadent caramel vanilla dessert.

Ingredients: Premium Taiwanese Assam, Organic Calendula, Organic Lotus Stamens, Organic Pure Ground Vanilla Beans (no fillers), Organic Natural Flavoring (vegan)

Recommended Brew Time: 3 minutes
Recommended Amount: 2 teaspoons of tea for 8oz of water
Recommended Temperature: 212 F (boiling)

Stacy, you are Tealand Fairy, and this is your best magic potion!

I grew up in a town where caramel candies are special, and your tea sent me back in time to those years when I was just a boy waiting for my favorite candy to arrive after finishing my homework for the day.

The combination of flavors is sublime. I am not, or pretend to be, a tea expert. I am just starting on this tea experience, and finding delicious flavors like this one makes me want to try and learn more. Thank you Stacy.

This tea is fantastic. To me it tastes like sponge toffee(one of my favourite candies). It’s very thick, creamy and buttery. Delicious.

Tried it twice. Both were on the airplane during long flights so hopefully it didn’t effect things too much. It is, regardless, a very fickle tea. I found that the caramel flavor had more of a presence while the water was hot but as it cooled off the vanilla flavor took over. My second steep was a bit bitter due to floating leaves but still drinkable.

Still delicious, even as old as it is. I still have quite a bit of this so it’ll take a while to sipdown. Backlogged review from last week.

Buttery golden, mild, and comforting. I wish it were a touch more assertive.

Got this from QueenOfTarts from our swap maaaany moons ago. Agh. I’ve been so busy ever since starting at Disney and now I’m starting to drink my teas! It’s been less than a year sooo I think I’m still good :)

It still had the lovely caramel scent to it when its dry. Has that dark liquor when steeping, but as with a lot of the flavoured tea that I I’ve had, the sent has disappeared :(

It’s good, but slightly bitter! Nothing that a touch a milk couldn’t fix :) When I resteep it, probably a cooler temperature water :)

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this, it’s my favorite tea!

A proper review will have to wait, as I’m currently giving it a little funeral. My gift this year was a cute mug, so I thought there was no better tea to christen it with. This was my last teaspoon.

RIP Caramel Vanilla Assam.

Mmmmmm. You will be so incredibly missed. Such a shame Stacey is shutting up shop – she is the most talented tea blender/sorceress I’ve ever come across, but I wish her the best in her future endeavors.

I am getting a group together to split costs of a reblend of this(and she has ever so generously offered up some of her private reserved assam so we will have the original base), so give me a shout below if you’re interested.

Happy holidays!

A sample from the nice Cheri. It smells so good. There is a caramel scent, and it reminds me a little of creme brulee. The flavour is creamy caramel with some malty notes.

I love this tea. I will miss it when it’s gone.

Another AMAZING tea from Butiki! This one has a fantastic rich, malty base that I’m sure is delicious all by itself. As I sip, I taste smooth, creamy vanilla first. Then there’s a rush of warm caramel that leaves a lingering sweet aftertaste in my mouth. I never drink the same tea twice in a row, but I am so tempted to go and brew another cup of this one right now!

Now I think I want a cup of this now, too….. So yummy.

I can see why this is so popular among Steepsterites! It’s a lovely cup of caramel, vanilla, raisins and toffee flavors melded together. There’s other things in here but I can’t identify them without looking at the main tasting note. Even though it’s a little late in the evening, I’m enjoying this cup. Aren’t I daring to have caffeine in the evening? :-D

I wish I had more. Another thing I’ll miss when Stacy closes down Butiki!! :-(
