I hate licorice in tea. I really do. I am not going to give this tea a super low rating though, just because I don’t like licorice. In all truthfulness, it’s not a bad tea. I just can’t get past the licorice flavour in it or any other tea that has licorice flavour in it, for that matter. Any person who adores licorice in tea will likely love this because licorice is definitely front and centre with some other spices mingling in the background. This tea came in a sampler pack that I received for Christmas from a friend so luckily there are only 3 of each variety. I am not a wasteful person so even if I’m not crazy about a tea, I always use it all up no matter what. However, it’s a bonus that my cousin is coming to visit for a few days as he drinks a lot of tea and isn’t picky so the remainder of this tea will gleefully and undoubtedly be finished up by him.

I have a box of that in a bottom drawer. I seem to recall I didn’t care for it either. And I do like black licorice. But it moderation. One or two pieces of it are enough for me.

The thing is, I like eating black licorice. Like those black Twizzlers, yum! So it seems odd that I don’t like black licorice flavour in other things, but I don’t. I’m funny that way. I like apples but not apple juice. I also like coconut but won’t touch coconut cream pie. Go figure!
