Dry, this one smells like the scented markers they gave us in Kindergarten. I thoroughly confused my fiance last night when I held the bag of this under his nose and demanded, “Doesn’t it smell like a magic marker?” If he didn’t think I was crazy before, he probably does now… (That IS what this tea smells like though. It’s not my fault if his elementary school wasn’t as awesome as mine.)

I steeped this one for 7 minutes and got a VERY minty tea; after I’d finished the cup, the cooling sensation from the mint lingered in the back of my throat. The fruit flavor is reminiscent of watermelon and very light. It’s more of an accent to the mint flavor if anything.

Overall, this is an enjoyable tea, but I’m not sure I’d want it in anything other than a sample package.

I became interested in tea spring 2013, when some friends of mine brought me to a local tea shop. I’ve been experimenting since, and am absolutely in love! I am especially fond of blended teas, and I’m a sucker for gimicky flavors.

My cupboard is stocked with a lot of DAVIDsTEA at the present, although I do have a few teas from some local shops. I’m looking forward to branching out and trying teas from different vendors and shops. Let the journey begin!
