Super disappointed in this tea. i wanted to like it… the ginger and earthiness just overpowered the pineapple and carrot which made me sad. I would have liked them to keep ginger out of the equation and just flavored the turmeric with pineapple and carrot. that would have been way better. The smell of the dry leaf was somewhat fruity like citrus. The smell of the tea steeped was more earth- probably the turmeric- and a hint of ginger. The taste was earthy and then the aftertaste was spiced ginger. not my “cup of tea”.

I surprisingly hated this tea when i tried it in the fall, and then (the surprising part) was I just tried it again yesterday since it was on sale for like 3 bucks and I love it! lol yes it smells like peanuts but I dont taste peanuts. I taste a nutty coconut and the woody rooibos and maybe a little bit of the nut brittle and apple. I will be ordering more before its gone.

I was really excited when I saw this tea on 52teas’ website because I am a die hard Harry Potter fan and I’m also a pumpkin-lover! The smell of the dry leaf is very spice and a hint of pumpkin. It smells appealing. One thing I didnt like is how big the green tea leaves were because it was hard to get them into my scooper in order to accurately measure out the tea lol. Anyways. Once steeped the smell of squash/pumpkin really, really came through which was awesome. Steeped, it smells like straight up butternut squash/pumpkin and I loveeee it. I added a tiny bit of agave syrup to add some sweetness. On taste, the spices dont come through all that much but they’re there. The pumpkin flavor is also very light. I am beginning to notice that 52teas’ blends smell heavy, but taste very light on flavor which is okay. I do like this tea and I would order it again. Now if only my 6 month old baby would take a nap so that I could put on Harry Potter and id be set…..

So 52teas ran out of marshmallow treat genmaicha, but I saw maple marshmallow treat genmaicha so I decided to give it a try! I do like maple and I like marshmallow and I like genmaicha so I said why wouldn’t I like this?! The smell of the dry leaf is VERY MAPLE. It smells almost too maple. I was scared that it was going to be sickeningly sweet. But I went ahead and steeped it and gave it a try. It thankfully didnt taste as maple as it smelled. It was very lightly flavored and I added just a pinch of agave syrup which made it even yummier. My whole kitchen smelled like maple syrup which was nice lol. I do really like this tea and I would/will buy it again if they aren’t out. It was really nice and light.

Im sad. I saw so many amazing reviews on this tea that i thought for sure id be in love. WTF. All I taste is black tea. No nuttiness, no sweetness, no cinnamon, no cake, no walnut, no maple…what did I do wrong? I followed the instructions. Grrrr. I even shook the bag! Maybe I got a bad batch? I dont know. I am going to keep trying it and see if I change my mind. Hmph.

YUM. Really enjoyed this tea! You can really taste the pumpkin spice alongside the toasty genmaicha. Its better than a PSL! I was psyched because I ordered a sample in one of my orders, and then when I placed a second order they gave me a free sample of it and I legit just ran out of the sample I bought when the shipment came. SCORE! Thanks 52teas. Happy steeping :)

I was surprised at the negative reviews here. I really enjoyed the crap outta this tea! I love 52tea’s flavored genmaichas. You can’t really find flavored genmaicha anywhere else. Hey Anne, how about an apple cinnamon genmaicha? YUM. okay, back to coconut flan- i did enjoy this blend. The dry leaf smells like coconut custard. You may not be able to say “ooh thats flan” but when you know its supposed to smell like flan, then you can tell. Its like a caramel/sugary/custardy kind of smell. It goes well with the creamy coconut in my opinion. I bought 2 large bags of this stuff. I hope its around for a little while. Mmmm so good!

Yummy! The dry leaf smells like a bag of marshmallows! mmm this tea is so delicious. The genmaicha makes it, but its not overpowering with the toasted rice, its just enough. The sweet and creamy marshmallow is just to die for! I used agave.

I really love this blend. Its light and refreshing. I just love green tea. I can taste a little bit of the orange but its not overpowering, which made me happy. I can also taste the spice and a little bit of that butteriness. The only thing I would ask is for the butterscotch to be more prominent if there ever was a reblend. I want more buttery! And more of that butterscotch flavor…
