Popular Tasting Notes
I prefer this to the Tazo version. As others have said, the bergamot scent is palpable but not overpowering; it doesn’t greet you with an almost eye-watering blast of perfume when you open the packet. The bergamot taste is present in the drinking, but in a much milder, even, more balanced way. On a side note, am I the only one who has trouble with Numi’s bags? Seems like they break, or the string comes off, or the tag falls off, far more often than those of other brands but perhaps that’s just bad luck on my part.
Preparation
Last night I had time to let this tea take me on its journey a second time and I’m still as blown away as I was the first time.
This tea is so unique. Most teas I’ve tried require something from me – they require I be in the mood for what they have on offer. Whether that’s smoky, fruity, vegetal, or anything in between. It requires I be desiring that flavor, and in return it offers me the satisfaction, relaxation, or refreshment that it has to offer. This tea is different. It’s unassuming. It doesn’t care what mood I’m in, what time of day it is, what flavors I have sitting on my tongue from the meal I just ate. This tea always has something to offer, something to draw me into the rest of the flavors it has on-hand and the trip it wants to take me on throughout its many steepings.
And for that reason this tea is hard to get off my mind. I only had two days between brew sessions but I kept thinking back on this tea, anxious for the moment I had the one thing this tea asks of me: time to enjoy the full experience it has to offer.
Preparation
I must admit that I’m not a fan of peach flavored, and this is not a favorite of mine, but if mixed with milk and sugar the correct way, it can be wonderful even with the peachy-ness. Although I am out of stock of this currently, I don’t really plan on getting anymore for a little while.
Preparation
I got this one as a sample with an online order that I placed. I must admit, to me, this tea isn’t that memorable. I wanted to really love it, but I didn’t really get the love feeling from this one.
For me, all the flavours kinda just mixed together and there really wasn’t anything that stood out. The walnut flavour was probably the strongest that I got out of it, but even then, I dunno.
I’m wondering if maybe I’ve oversteeped it?
This is, surprisingly, a weak tea. Next time I think I’ll put two bags in my mug. It smells delicious and the taste almost lives up to that scent, but not quite. I do like it, though I wish there was a stronger Cardamom bent to it. It’s quite sweet and cinnamon-y and I’ll be eager to try it iced!
Update: I adore this tea and have almost finished the canister. Occasionally I’ll use two bags, but I’m giving it a longer steep time and the flavours are much better. It’s only so-so iced, so I prefer it hot. I’m upping my rating to 92ish _
