So, yeah. Caramel corn. I expected more of a genmaicha approach when I first heard about this tea, but it’s quite potently sweet. A bit too sweet for me, actually. I steeped for five minutes and thirty seconds and might try decreasing that because it’s a touch overwhelming. I also wish this had a bit more to do with green tea; I actually think being able to taste the green tea behind this would work really well. This smells absolutely incredible in the tin and also once steeped, but I don’t think the flavour compares very well. It’s watery but sweet.
But, it is tasty. I wish it were a little less abrasively sweet but won’t really complain about something that tastes like caramel popcorn!
