1024 Tasting Notes
From the Mother’s Day 2013 limited edition trio—my original favourite and still my go-to (though Jasmine’s Song is also very nice). A smooth black tea with some lovely floral notes. A better choice than T2’s French Earl Grey, if you ask me.
Flavors: Flowers
Preparation
Got this as a free sample with an online DAVIDsTEA order. Very nice, the lavender is strong with this one! To the point where it almost felt like a savoury tea rather than a sweet tea. I don’t really know how to describe it. I was expecting a mouth full of flowers but it was quite… dry? I don’t know what I’m talking about.
Preparation
I am smelling what this tea is stepping in. Oh yeah.
Lower temperature and higher steep time at work because first I forgot about my boiling water and then I forgot about my steeping tea. I’m incredible.
I can already tell I’ll be sad when my 50g pouch of this is finished!
Flavors: Caramel, Coconut

I am so stoked to finally own one of these after a trip to the USA and Canada over the holidays. I was so hyped for one of these that my sister gave it to me for Christmas before I could get one myself.
I love the spare tea pocket in the lid. Tea stays hot for freakin’ hours in this thing. The only con for me is that there’s nowhere to rest the infuser if you have to bail it out so you don’t oversteep—though my solution to this is to take the whole lid off and leave it upside-down, which also helps to cool the tea down a little (I burned my mouth a few dang times before learning my lesson).
I was so excited to finally have some of this, after longing for it during each cold virus I suffered last year. I’d have preferred not to have woken up with a scratchy throat earlier this week but when I remembered the Cold 911 was in the pantry, my mood brightened a little.
This is the best cold-fighting tea I’ve had so far., and I’ve tried a few, because I find a great deal soothing about hot tea with a cold virus. This is a powerful knockout and I’m gonna be sad when it’s gone again.
Preparation
Yes! Redeemed as an iced tea! Though I did add a drop of sugar syrup to sweeten it a little, but it’s such an improvement on the hot version for me. So glad I don’t need to give up on it. Super fresh and tasty for a warm day.
Quantities + a handful of big ice cubes for instant iced tea.

I used this in a cocktail during Ginuary that called for ‘mango tea’. Now, ‘mango tea’ is a fairly loose category. When I was checking the cocktail recipe out online I noticed a blogger mentioned Sencha Mango, so I gave it a whirl and it came out pretty darn good—particularly as I also learned this Ginuary just gone that a lot of punches used to be made on a green tea base to help give a bit more complexity to the base!
