1024 Tasting Notes
After three and a half hours of broken sleep, I gave up around 6am and made myself a never ending pot of this in my lovely new teapot—bought yesterday on sale after lusting after it for months through the window at Freedom. I’m really delighted with it; it pours like a dream (my only frustration is that no infuser fits in it, so it’s full of loose leaves—hence the never ending pot though).
Spending my morning curled on the couch with my cat, a good book, and a never ending pot of tea can’t be all bad. Or even a bit bad.
Oh lawd oh lawd oh lawd. I finally let myself open my restocked packet of this tonight after my first encounter via Monstrositea and my toes are curling with happiness.
You know when you’re so fond of a tea that even as soon as you’ve opened it, you’re sad to think of it being gone? I get like that over a few of mine… this one in particular because it’s a rare beauty I won’t easily restock, being that Monstrositea’s heroine brought a small amount back from India with her and I think it may all be sold out from her store already.
But considering how happy I am right now, if there’s any still left I think I’m just gonna have to buy it.
Oh, how lovely!
I do have a soft spot for relaxing herbals but most taste the same as each other—Mary Mary’s got something a little extra sassy and sweet to her that leaves me interested.
Yes, this is definitely one I’d like to have in the cupboard! It doesn’t quite overtake my favourite from T2 but in the spirit of trying not to buy from them (or at least not much at all) perhaps I’ll next restock my herbal in the form of Mary Mary… yes, that’ll do nicely.
Oy vey. I don’t often let myself run out of this one, but I’ve got a few other bedtime herbals in my cupboard at the moment so I’m not letting myself restock until I’ve cleared through a few of those. You don’t really need more than one of those at a time, let’s be reasonable.
But being entirely unreasonable, I love this tea. It’s the best bedtime herbal I’ve ever had, and I love keeping it around even for days where I just need to take a few deep breaths. I think that’s how T2 want to market it as well, not so much as a bedtime one but just a relaxing one. Whatever. It’s the best bedtime herbal I’ve ever had. I’ve said it before (literally a few lines ago) and I’ll say it again.
SEE YOU AGAIN SOON, DARLING!
