Yesterday afternoon, as I was driving home from the dentist (a cracked tooth will need a root canal and then a crown. Ouch!) I got caught in rain. Not a little rain. No, it was a deluge that would have caused Noah’s Ark to capsize. I couldn’t see the front of my car. I managed to pull off into a fast food place parking lot and wait out the heaviest of the rain. I got home and by the time I walked from my car to the apartment door, I was soaked. I left wet footprints all down the hall to my apartment. I made a pot of this old favorite. So warm, so tasty. I really do enjoy this one, and with low caffeine I can drink it around supper time and not worry about not being able to sleep. Let’s hear it for “comfort teas”!

By the way, I have a chicken named Maddy! She is one of my favorites and is quite the rascal. She gets out of the pen all the time – I am sure she is flying over the tall fence, but she always trots obediently at my heels and goes back in when I tell her to she must. Her real name is Madeline because she is a French Cuckoo Marans. She is sweet and adorable little doll even if she is a rascal.
Tea is a must after getting drenched.

Maddy sounds like a sweetheart! I’ve never heard of a French Cuckoo Marans. I have friends who have Rhode Island Reds. That’s about the extent of my chicken knowledge! LOL
