I am obsessed with recreating the Starbucks Earl Grey latte, which I think is all about their vanilla syrup, and not really about the tea. But here I am with my vanilla-soy milk and earl grey tea, trying my best. I oversteeped the tea on purpose, and I am still suffering from the weak-flavor problem. I know this isn’t the more expensive Starbucks’ Tazo Earl Grey in nicer bags. but I am not going to bother to pay extra just to drown the thing in vanilla soy milk. These are very strongly flavored, but hmmmmm…. might have to just try leaving the tea bag in. I mean, I chose Tazo because Sbucks uses it, but also because if these things don’t deliver the strength I need in the drink, nothing will. Seriously, like bergamot before buying a box of this stuff.

Maybe try two bags? I know when I make stovetop chai, simmering the tea in milk and water, I use twice the tea as usual.
Yeah, I might have to. I mean, Sbucks doesn’t use 2 teabags, so I have no idea how they get theirs to taste so much stronger!
