5 Tasting Notes

I have nothing bad to say about this tea. That being said, I also don’t have very much good to say either.

It’s a very pretty tea and indeed does glitter (until you put milk in it…) but other than that, I find it to be a typical black tea with sugar.

I always ensure I’ve got this tea in my cupboard! I also can’t drink normal Earl Grey anymore ….

Cream of Earl Grey is creamier and sweeter than your traditional Earl Grey – and in my mind, delicious. That being said, it isn’t that different from Cream of Earl Grey from other cheaper tea stores.

Be careful not to over steep this tea, as it will release tannins and ruin the flavor.

It’s a fan favorite for a reason! Chocolate and mint is a timeless combination for a reason.

This tea is one of my go to’s in my tea collection, but I have to admit that I didn’t like it at first. It’s not chocolate-y enough for a hot chocolate drinker, but this tea definitely grew on me!

Personally, I like to make this tea a stronger than recommended, and then add some milk to it for some creaminess.

My favorite Christmas tea! At first, I was tired of the black tea + mint combination since I have a few … but this one is by far my favorite!

What makes this tea more unique (and Christmas-y) is that it’s not so much mint as candy cane peppermint in this tea. It’s a sweeter (and I guess technically more artificial flavor since candy canes don’t taste at all like real organic mint) tea but definitely one of my favorites.

This is my all time absolute favorite tea! It’s my go to in my daily morning routine, my pick me up on a bad day, and my show off tea when I have guests over.

I like to drink this tea with a bit of milk. The DavidsTea saleslady described it to me as a vanilla cupcake in tea form – and I still haven’t found a better description than that! I find that adding some milk brings out the creaminess from the vanilla. Note: I say cupcake but it’s not a sweet tea.

Personally, I like to steep it with a bit less than the recommended amount of tea leaves. If you add too much tea leaves, the vanilla flavor becomes overcome by the oolong.

This tea can be resteeped but the vanilla flavors will be basically non-existent after the first steep and the oolong nature of this tea really stands out.
