I know I am supposed to hate this. I don’t. It’s family.
Speaking of which – last night I was telling my dad about a particular iced tea I enjoyed at a restaurant. He had it once as well. He said it was too weak for him. Then proceeded to tell me of a local eatery that made the best iced tea ever. Yeah, they brew this. It is cloudy. The water is slightly soured. And they use a plastic glass. Mmmm now that’s tea. :)
My rating is high by most of your standards. By my rating system if fits square in the average range. That is what it is blended to be – beige. On Steepster all teas start at 77 as the middle of the road and our ratings adjust it from there. I figure 77 is for an average loose leaf and around 60-65 is my average for bagged. Included just so you know.

I had figured it out about our ratings starting mid70s but I did not know it was 77 – I have wondered about the precise algorithm a number of times! Interesting.
I’ve always wanted to try this. Ha ha. I love iced tea, and where I am from iced tea is not as huge as it is down in the US. We have that awesome bottled Nestea and such!
Lala – bottled Nestea???? lol Under those circumstances you would love this stuff.
Gmathis – I can’t stand it hot but cold, yeah, my standards drop significantly.

My standards aren’t as high for ice tea as they are for a nice, warm morning cuppa.

agree, I’m less picky with ice teas.
Thanks for letting us know about the rating at 77 for any tea here on steepster ! I was also wondering WHY and HOW it was working
