Midwest Tea Fest - June 6, 2015!
And our second confirmed vendor is Anna Marie’s Teas!
Plus, we have our tasting cups and they are adorable! And a Tumblr site. :)
Woo! Now lets hope my computer stuff is completely fixed soon so I can do more! Those tasting cups are awesome.
Also just saw the ticket price on the website and I could hug you! It is so affordable, no saving for months like some events I dream of going to one day :D
Psht, girl! You are one of the volunteer crew – you get in free anyway! :)
That ticket price just means we are aiming for a lot of guests so we have our work cut out for us!
Hi Nicole! Thanks for buying tickets to our event down here in Texas :) We look forward to meeting you and let us know if we can help you in any ways! We’re in the throws of the final stages of organizing right now!
BTW, I think it’s a mistake on your website. It says “January 6” instead of “June 6”!
Ellen, thank you so much for pointing out the date error! Wow, that’s kind of embarrassing. :) good thing that Tumblr isn’t shared yet with anyone but you guys!
So excited to be going to another festival! I see that Elyse from Tealet is getting one together in Las Vegas as well – also a much more affordable flight than some of the others. And like I need a reason to go to Vegas! :)
Nicole: Best wishes at making this TeaFest a success!
Let me know how SororiTea Sisters can help. I will be out of the loop as far a writing goes after March 31 (if all goes to plan), but I will still be an Admin at SS and we’ll help any way we can!
Thanks, LiberTeas. We are aiming for early to mid Feb to get with tea blogs. I’ll keep you posted!
I might try to come to this
That would be great! There are plenty of other things going on in KC that weekend to make a trip out of as well. And if you have any interest in World War I or history at all, the museum where our event is going to be held is simply phenomenal (watch for an Indiegogo perk featuring museum tickets…).
Fourth confirmed vendor is Yoki from Kansas City! They are more a tea ware vendor and I’d bet some cute Japanese things will also make an appearance at their booth!
Fifth official confirmed vendor – Tea Market from Kansas City! Stacy, the owner, is heavily involved in tea education across the country and super into tea for health. She is also in charge of our educational presentation program for the festival so it will be fantastic!
Been a busy week – we have several newly confirmed vendors!
The London Tea Room from St. Louis
Shang Tea from Kansas City
Phoenix Herb Co. from Kansas City
Queen’s Pantry from Leavenworth
That takes us up to 9 vendors with quite a few more to come. We’ve had to expand our space to fit everyone in! Gonna be lots of tea there, Steepster peeps! :)
Just spoke with my friend who I am trying to pull into the world of tea. This will be shortly after we graduate and she agrees that it would be a fun weekend trip, we are just over in Saint Louis. Should we just keep an eye on this thread to know when we will need to buy tickets?
That would be great if you came over for it! And yes, this thread will be updated with ticket info eventually. I will let an advance bit of info slip here that sales will start in mid-March and will be in tiered offerings for set time periods – really discounted admission, then admission bundled with things like tea gift baskets, museum passes and mugs, then slightly discounted admissions. :)
Two more vendors over the weekend – not tea but a quilter from St. Louis with mug & teapot cozies and a great Kansas City ceramic artist with teapots, cups & mugs!
