Yixing Tea Pet Suggestions/help
Ok guys/gals I’m desperately looking for a yixing clay tea pet. I’ve looked on ebay and aliexpress and some of the tea vendors that I’m familiar with. The ones that I’m finding are either:
A> ugly – or not what I’m looking for
B> WAY TOO EXPENSIVE – I don’t mind paying 20.00 – 30.00 but won’t pay 60.00 plus shipping
C> seem like they will be too big. Aren’t they not suppose to be small? Most of the ones I like are as big as some of my yixing pots!!!??!!
I really like this one but it’s 12 × 10.5 cm.

Where did you buy your tea pet? Have you seem one recently? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :))

Upon closer examination of the site I notice that it is the same seller I just received a beautiful teapot from. The seller shipped quickly and packaged the pot well.

That piggy is really cute. Wish I could find a dragon or money frog or Buddha that’s about that size….

I purchased this one a while ago and I love it. I wasn’t sure of the site, but I took a chance because it was only 19$. They have a bunch of different ones at reasonable prices. I didn’t have any problems with my order :)

I have that one bookmarked (lucky kylin), I am seriously considering ordering it too.
I had thought of getting the toad (very traditional), but when I measured it out on my small tea tray it just took up too much space.

That seller has one that I’ve been looking at. It’s still a little more than I want to pay and a little bigger than I would like, but this one is close to the top of my list.

Dex I will look around this weekend and try to find you a few. Mandala just added a nice one they just added.
I didn’t see any on Mandala either – that would be scary – I’m not sure I could order JUST a tea pet…
Thanks MrMopar – I’ve looked quite a bit, but there have been some good suggestions here – crossing fingers that you find something I’ve missed. :))
Crimson Lotus Tea has a number of affordable ones, I believe. Not sure on sizes, but I imagine there are a variety.
