The effort I appreciate. Unfortunately, I don’t have tea budget left right now for 100g pkgs of tea. :(
Unless someone (or a couple of someones) would like to split an order?
I don’t know anything about your teas but have been trying more in the way of greens. What do you recommend from your site? Name your three favorite greens.
Allan, I personally drink often Long Jing and Lu’an gua pian. But my taste is not yours!
If you have budget for 2-3 teas, I would propose you a selection of three greens with different tasting profiles.
Otherwise please tell me: are you more into delicate or strong taste? Vegetal? Nutty or fruity?
Anyone want to split any of the black teas? 100g is a lot but they all look/sound really lovely.
The description of the blacks are not online yet. Please tell me if you need any advice.
Thanks, it looks like were going to go with the Dian Hong and the Tan Yang, good choices? About the samples you have, what is the limit for those?
Dian Hong is one of my favourite; I’m very proud of it. It features a very interesting natural aroma, somehow peppery and a bit earthy.
Tanyang is is quite strong, round and long; but is not floral as Qimen and not as aromatic as Dian Hong. I like it in the morning and whenever I feel the urge of a typical Chinese black tea. Tanyang, and all traditional Minhong gongfu, were the first black teas ever exported in the western world.
Samples: the “rule” is: no more than 3 samples every 120 days. However it is small written. We are flexible. The rule is there only to avoid misuse.
Tell you what, any samples you choose to include will be reviewed by us, so you’ll get more visibility. ;)
Marzipan, you are right. You guys have tasted teas from many suppliers. I look forward to know what do you think of our teas.
Cheri, the Dian Hong looks good and tastes even better. Of our selection of blacks, I personally like the most the Qimen Maofeng and the Dian Hong.
For what concern the appearance, there are other Dian Hong that look even more gold-coppery.
An advice: In China Dian Hong is famous for being gold. Many Chinese buy the most golden, regardless of the taste. The produces, consequently, try to get golden leaves. However, more golden doesn’t mean more tasty!
This Dian Hong taste fuller and more peppery than other better-looking golden Dian Hong I tried.
Is your Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong smoked or un-smoked?
This year we decided to purchase the smoked version because, despite been smoked, it is so delicate. The leaves were only faintly smoked with pinewood, resulting in a pleasant, faintly perceptible smoked tang that well harmonize with the clean, natural taste of Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong.
Since someone asked in PM: Shipping within Europe is anyway for free and you can add also free tea samples to your order directly from the website (www.nannuoshan.org).
