Marzipan please send me your address and we can get started :)
I know everyone’s tired of waiting, but I missed the post office by a matter of minutes. Frustrating! Good news is it’s packed, sealed, labeled and ready to go! :)
Fixed to added carol who back on the list
The box began it’s merry journey yesterday and Marzipan should have it by tomorrow. Good news, shipping HUGE boxes of tea costs less than I thought! Just $11 even though the box weighed over 5 pounds (you TTB veterans know that’s BIG!) :)
Just brewed up the first one!
I thought you said you’d post pictures. Have you and I missed them?
Nice pictures! :D Mandy posted a picture of Lewis & Clarke too and I’m so excited.
Holy wow, that is a lot of tea!
That does look like a lot of tea. And a lot of good tea. :)
And I’m jealous of your lazy weekend. More work stuff going on than I hoped.
I’ll probably end up pulling out samples to try and going ahead and sending the box. There were some teas I could eliminate – like Noble Mark, since I have some of that from their sampler. I had already tried the black from Green Terrace and Red Queen from Butiki. I’m hoping to send it out by mid week.
That’s what I did, sorted out the stuff that I either already have or don’t want to try. Still, that left ~20 that I want to try. I’m going to try to sample as much as I can in the next day or two, and pull samples of the rest and send it back out.
With some boxes that works. With others, what happens is I’ll try a tea, and then that makes me want to try something that I hadn’t pulled out. With the MzPriss (Mostly) Unflavored TTB, I pulled out a bunch I wanted to try. After trying some of those, I went back through the box and pulled out different ones, and put some of the ones I had pulled back in. It was fun and funny.
Some of these are already separated into samples, like the WP teas.
I’m sending this out to Carol today. I pulled out some small samples to try still, but the box doesn’t need to sit here and wait. It weighed the same as it did when I got it. I added in several varieties of TeaVivre teas, and the Global Tea Hut August oolong that came in my box.
Carol Who received the box. Great ready Amanda!
I sent a message yesterday but with all the problems on the site, it looks like it didn’t go through. The box is moving on to Amanda!
Somehow my husband thought I needed his input (No, I didn’t) and he crammed it all into a Flat rate box. It cost $4 less. If you want to put it in a bigger box, that’s up to you. I’m not sure why he felt he needed to get involved but in the theory of picking your battles in a marriage, I didn’t feel this was anything to make a fuss over. :) I will however, not let him see any future TTBs! Also the box cost $8.10 to ship and weighed about 5 lbs. 1 oz. The newer box weighed a bit less than the original.
I enjoyed the box and wish I could keep all of it!
Have a great week!
