Their San Franciscan blends are no longer available online!??!? Dude, they were just for a bit not too long ago!
If you’re visiting one of their San Franciscan stores, Golden Honey Dew is the way to go. It’s an amazingly refreshing green rooibos which is literal perfection in the summer heat. I’m actually drinking a cup right now after a long day at Disneyland! This tea is $7.50 I think, but it’s totally worth it.
But Cookie is a lovely dessert black tea ($8.00 I think?)
Jardin Sauvage is also a nice fruity green rooibos ($8.00)
I had a small tasting of their regular black Muscat from my cousins, and it’s really good as well! ($6.50)
Luckily since you’re visiting the store, you can smell all the teas you want! They don’t have all the teas displayed, but they do have drawers that you can pull out and you’re free to smell those as well. Just ask a sales associate if they have that tea stored in the back or something :)
I am going to an SF store. Already have the Muscat in oolong. So I was thinking about getting that Choco Berry Puer. Since I liked that one when I had a sample.
Oh yeah, totally forgot to mention that! I saw that you’ve had their Muscat oolong, so like the regular black muscat should be pretty similar haha.
I haven’t had any of their puer’s yet. I tend to stay away from puer…
It’s just a bit too earthy and dark for me.
I’m not super adventurous with my teas, so I do like to reach for the ones that I know I’ll enjoy! A lot of the times I’d have puer or have a puer blend or something and it just tastes a bit too heavy for me
Aaaaaaaand now the SF blends are back online.
I’m going to back the others and say Golden Honey dew. Its amazing.
It sounds interesting, maybe I’ll ask them for a sample.
If you like the Muscat oolong, you might like the Napa Blanc. It’s another area exclusive. Last time I was in there they also had the Hawaii blends in-stock, so you can take a look at those too. Of the three Sf blends I liked Napa Blanc the best, Golden Honeydew is straight up candy if you like that type of tea, but all of them are pretty sweet. You can also always ask the sales assistant to brew you a sample of anything you want to try, so going during the less busy hours is beneficial.
The Hawaiian blends sound expensive, but good. Tried the Napa Blanc. There was too much jasmine. The muscat part was nice.
How long ago were you in and which location Flyawaybirdie? Some of the Hawaiian blends are being discontinued and I’d love to get more Loki Lani.
I agree with the others, Chico straw puer and cookie are fantastic if you like dessert teas. Momoko was the most amazing peach I have ever tried. Honeydew is great if you like melon and I have seen it sold in sachets, bags and tins, it just depends on what the location has is stock.
Several of their teas come in a variety of bases. The Momoko I tried and love is a green.
Hmm, I don’t remember the last time I was in the Sf Westfield Lupicia. I’m a local and I tend to visit randomly. I know that The Valleyfair Westfield in San Jose had the Hawaii blends as of two weeks ago.
Is Valley Fair the one on Stevens Creek? It’s actually easier for me to get to the one in SF from where I’m going. The SJ one seems a little smaller.
I far as I know both should carry them. I only know dates for the Valleyfair one because I seldom go down there. Here’s the info for the SF site. Best to call them ahead and ask if something specific you want is in stock.

Cookie. Cookie, cookie, cookie. The most magical flavor that exists – if you are a dessert junkie like me! Not sure if you can find it, but if they have it, get the Ceylon Nuwara Eliya. Best Ceylon I’ve ever had. I also second OMGsrsly’s suggestion for Chocolate Strawberry Puerh. It’s luscious!
I kinda want to get another chocolate tea, so I’m trying to decide between The au Chocolat and Marron Chocolat.
The Marron Chocolat wasn’t as yummy as I had hoped, but you might like it. Haven’t tried that other. They also have a chocolate earl grey, but I think it might be seasonal? Or maybe they were just out of it at the San Jose location the other day. They have a chocolate strawberry puer that I really like too, if you are into something a little fruity.
I got the puer in SF last week, so I wanted one of those this time.
Are the San Francisco blends still available in CA stores?
They seem to be out of stock.
I was so nervous about those going out of stock before I got a change to stock up on Golden Honeydew. Glad I put in an order when I did!
I don’t mean to hijack this thread at all…
I’m going to the Tokyo location of Lupicia next month and if anyone would be up to swapping Lupicia for Lupicia when I get back in the summer just add me on here and shoot a message so I can write your name down and provide a list of what I have when I get back :)
that sounds amazing! Not just the visit to tokyo lupicia but tokyo itself :)
After visiting I found out that their tea is around 20% cheaper here because the US dollar is stronger than Japanese yen (I bought some and saw the conversion in my bank account and noticed this).
That’s nice. Was a very different selection than the US availability?
No clue… the store has over 250+ teas and blends (no joke, I counted)
They seem to have even teas out of stock online as well.
I really like their Strawberry Chocolate Pu-erh as well as “Happiness” and anything with melon or honeydew in it.
I also really liked the Mango Oolong and Pineapple oolong
That pu-erh is pretty great.
Lupicia is having a 10% off special this month to draw focus to their new website. usa.lupicia.com
I found Golden Honeydew in stock and my favorite tisane— Caramel & Rum. Mmmmmmm
Is it still the seven bucks shipping?
Not sure. I ordered enough for free shipping.
