Teaware lust?

That is cute. I’m just a little obsessed with tiny things right now.

I always love new teaware but my cupboard is full right now. Something has to be extremely exceptional for me to squeeze in another piece.

It is nice. My glass teapot looks so old fashioned.

It’s really nice but too large and too expensive.

That is a gaiwan for when you have a party…heck…that gaiwan is its own party!

I love it but if I got it I wonder if I would use it or just spend the entire time staring at its glaze

They were out of that. I bought the other one and am expecting it in about a week.

I don’t understand why? From what I understand, Black tea is somewhat acidic, it will eat/tarnish the silver.

Supposedly it softens your water, making the tea taste very clear. I think the point is for the tea water to exchange ions with the silver for this to occur, so tarnish is a-ok!

It’s definitely an out of this world piece, but it is too big for gongfu tea and too expensive for western brewing. You don’t get a better cup of tea by spending that much.

That’s true. It’s definitely an aesthetic appreciation I have though.

Yes, very nice. The handle might be useful if the water is too hot. They don’t mention a volume though.

I noticed that too which is a bit annoying. I always need to know the volume. The actual teapot can be used as a tea cup with that handle.

And I thought the ones from Yunnan Sourcing were expensive.

Lol. They have some teas that are up there too Allan, but I must admit that the Tanyang I had from them was incredible and very well balanced. Pretty pot Nicole!
