Reading the description on smacha website it appears that it is a standard 2 and a half mins steep. It manages to do that by having the strainer mesh of a certain size, which is at the base of the top part.

Thanks! That was the cutest video ever. From what it looks like, the mesh strainer slowly decants the tea into a cup as it steeps. I think. Cool!
