Would that just be a cream tea? Like Adagio has one.
Have you had that adagio tea?
I have some and like it. From what I understand bergamot is what makes Earl Grey what it is.
I know the bergamot makes earl. I meant have u tried just cream tea
I have tried Adagio Cream tea. It’s okay. It’s just a tea with a cream flavor haha. :)
Earl Grey is pretty much Early Grey because of Bergamot so I don’t think you can get Earl Grey without Bergamot :)
But you can get a cream tea as you suggested.
I have had cream teas and I like them. I don’t really drink Teavana though so I can’t say if it would taste like that.
i went ahead and bought a sample of adagio cream. see how that tastes…
Are you looking specifically for black teas that fit that flavor profile? If you’re open to other types, Mandarin Silk from Art of Tea has a creamy, vanilla-y flavor to it. They also have an Earl Grey Creme which has some strong cream notes to it, but it does contain bergamot. Teavivre’s Milk Oolong (flavored) is also very good, but it is an oolong, so there are vegetal notes to it as well. I’d suggest searching Steepster for “cream” or “creamy” teas, since you can get plenty of results that way. Good luck~
Tealux has an Irish Breakfast Cream that I quite like. I wouldn’t say it’s vanilla, but it is cream flavoured.
That tea is amazing! :O I second what you say. :P
Wow, that sounds really good!
Do you have any you could send me a taste of?
Nope, but tealux does sell 20g samples (their selection is mind boggling), and also often has % off sales.
How about Butiki’s Caramel Vanilla Assam? Art of Tea’s Starry Night, The Persimmon Tree’s Periwinkle might fit the bill for being moreso a vanilla tea.
I haven’t tried my sample of this yet, but Harney and Son’s Vanilla Comoro would be another black you can also look into.
Not a black, but Mandala’s Milk Oolong and Butiki’s Pineapple Cilantro Cream are both amazing.
I second Starry Night by Art of Tea. It’s a very nice vanilla tea.
I have Vanilla Cream from English Tea Store. Surprisingly good on its own, though I usually mix it because the vanilla is pretty heavy. Also Harney & Son’s Paris tea is supposed to be an Earl Grey with vanilla and caramel flavors, though I completely miss the bergamot in that so it ends up being a slightly berry scented creamy vanilla tea. Quite tasty.
An Earl Grey without bergamot? That would be challenging! ;-)
An orange cream tea, perhaps?
