Does anyone know who supplies Dunn Bros with tea bags?
There is a Dunn Bros coffee shop in our town. The iced tea they brew and serve is exceptional. They will sell the one gallon-sized tea bags to customers but they are expensive. The bags have no tag on them and they come several to an unmarked white plastic bag. Does anyone know who supplies Dunn Bros with their tea bags? I would like to find somewhere to buy them that is more affordable than Dunn Bros.
Do you know what type of tea it is? (besides black, I presume?)
What estate/area is it from?
It is black tea with a black currant flavor. Very refreshing. I have no idea what area it comes from.
Good chance it’s from Metropolitan Teas. They are wholesale and serve about 60%+ of the market. Someone told me 80% but I’m not sure about that

Metropolitan typically doesn’t deal well with consumers, as I tried to do the same once and didn’t really get anywhere. But then I was only halfway hooked on the tea I wanted haha

haha Well, I’m glad it makes you chuckle. I had a funny college friend who made up silly “phrase nicknames” for everyone, and that’s the one he assigned to me. :)
I don’t know what Dunn Bros uses, but Harney and Sons makes an “iced tea pouch” of black currant tea.
Cameron’s coffee has a blackcurrent tea they sell wholesale.

On their website they mention Mighty Leaf teas the most so it might be from there.
The Dunn’s website says there ice tea is a blend of two of mighty leafs teas
