They’re on sale now dexter. They are having a 12% off sale on their Oolong’s using OOLONG12 and they consider their lapsang and jjm in this group.

Definitely Yezi’s Jin Jun Mei! :) It’s amazing.
I agree on Yezi’s so far it has been my favorite that I have tried.
yyz thanks for the info. :)) I really really shouldn’t even be looking, but of course I am…
I’m tempted as well. I’m still on a quest for my ideal LS. I’ve learned lately that the older LS are selling at a premium in some places as the sharp fruity tones they have sometimes calm down a little and the tea becomes more mellow, emphasising the sweet tones the cocoa.
Thanks y’all! I’m looking at the Yezi site. That seems like an entirely reasonable price too.
Oh my bad. I read the price wrong. It’s not egregious, but I got all excited reading it my way :)
A friend of mine fell in love with the one from Kimicha. He didn’t like the Tealux version so much. But he also likes really heavy dark tea, that can steep for ten min.
The only thing I know about it is that JJM is a newly invented tea (as in within the last few decades, most are much older in tradition) and that the process involves bruising the leaf to make it so sweet. I always found that kinda neat. and unique!!
I’ve already learned more about it than I knew before :) thanks y’all and yeah that is interesting about making it sweet. I’ve had some of the Oriental Beauty leaf bitten stuff – is it the same principle?
