For me – its tea type. I am an espresso drinker. For years I drank black tea and refused to try greens because I had an absurd belief that I wanted tea closer to coffee. But I have discovered green tea and light roast oolong taste much better to me. I haven’t tried good (quality) white tea yet……you never know it might be the best yet?
Citrus in green tea. Other than the occasional cup of Earl Grey I loathe black tea with citrus in it, too many fake lemony nestea cans growing up I think ruined my taste for it.
But, put any citrus (especially Yuzu or Grapefruit) in a green tea and I go bonkers for it. Now I want to try it in oolong and white tea…I bet that could be yummy.
…the flavor of sencha. The first time I tasted it, it was scalded, and I hated it. Several years later, I tried it again, making it correctly, and I quite enjoyed it.
For me, it has to be a fruity flavored green tea. Especially in the morning at work. In fact, I am actually drinking a cup of Green Pomegranate right now.
Ooh and goji berries. Mmmmm.
Yeah! You got the point! :)
Strawberry. I have never had a raspberry tea that I wanted to finish the cup. Same with black currant. I kind of whined when preparing my first cup of strawberry tea. Turns out I loved it.
Strawberries sounds delicious too!
For me it was banana. The thought of banana in tea made me wanna gag, but now I have SEVERAL banana related teas that I love!
Me, too! I thought banana tea sounded downright gross, actually, but after Butiki’s “Hello Sweetie”, I’m a convert.
Agreed, Hello Sweetie is the ULTIMATE banana tea! Also, one of the first teas I really liked that had banana was the now discontinued David’s Tea Banana Dream Pie!
Oh I just remembered about Foxy roxy’s banana walnut treat. NOM
Lupicia has a couple banana teas too!
I need to try Foxy Roxy’s now….. mmmmm!
And, I absolutely need to check out Lupicia’s. :)
Marzipan, I’m with you! The one time I had tried a chocolate it was too weak and blah. That was from Forte, but it probably wasn’t brewed correctly. Since then I am soooo addicted. Did I send you any in our swap? If I didn’t, I can send you a couple really good ones.
I had to think about it, but I’d say Peach or Mango. Both are fruits that I’ve had a love/hate relationship with my whole life – though mango always leaning more towards the side of “hate”. I was sure I’d despise anything related to either flavour when it comes to tea, but surprisingly that love/hate aspect translated into tea and there are a few teas featuring each flavour that I really enjoy.
Pepper ! Adele H from Theodor has some and it is so surprising and so yummy !
Aniseed as well, I love the flavour but not sure in a tea and finally Rêverie d’un soir sur la Néva just waouh…drove me mad about it !
