Making tea for your hair
You know you’re addicted when you brew a batch of tea just for your hair. lol. In the past before I was a big tea drinker I used to make herbal teas with rosemary, nettle, burdock root, etc as a hair rinse. Anyone else have any favorite tea hair rinses?
I mix a black tea in with my henna. It doesn’t colour my hair but it does help with henna dye release. I’ve never tried it as a hair rinse but I think on the henna websites there were always mixes for tea/herbal hair rinses.
I’ve tried a lot of different teas for my hair. I have auburn hair and hate getting orange highlights in the summer, so I brew sage, cloves and black tea and spray it in my hair after every wash. It helps, but it takes a while to notice. The cloves smells helps deal with the sage smell. I also have made white tea and green tea spritzes for my face and neck. I’ve made sachets out of various white and/or green teas to drop in the bath. Both teas are supposed to be really good for skin. Adding green tea to hair spritzes supposedly helps with hair growth. I’m going to try that next and see if it helps.
