Where will you be buying your dragonwell this season?
Who are your favorite purveyors of dragonwell? And more specifically, which dragonwell teas will you be purchasing this season from those companies?
I’ve been thinking hard about the Mrs. Li’s 2014 Shi Feng at Verdant. It sounds soooo good. I just got gifted what I was told by the Chinese friend at work who gave it to me, a very nice dragowell, but I haven’t tried it yet. I have no other information on it other than it smells divine and is in a ziplock baggie :)
Ordered from teavivre, jing tea shop, grand, and verdant.
Only have received two orders so far but Jing is by far the best I have ever tasted.
I always get mine from Teavivre. They have some great Long Jing. Ill be buying the Premium grade for my every morning tea. Ill Probably also get 50 gs of the Organic Nonpareil She Qian Long Jing for special occasions. The She Qian is pricey, but it’s a very rare tea.
We’re not often active on Steepster, but I’d like to encourage any of you to try our 2014 pre-Qing Ming Long Jing (and please forgive the promotion). We have fresh stocks in now direct from a great farm just outside of Hangzhou – it’s a #43 cultivar, this year’s harvest is quite good because the rain/temperature conditions were pretty much spot on. http://www.minrivertea.com/green-tea/long-jing-dragon-well-green-tea/
I LOVE Teavivre’s Organic Nonpareil She Qian Dragon Well, which I reviewed here: http://sororiteasisters.com/2014/04/21/organic-nonpareil-qian-dragon-well-long-jing-green-tea-teavivre/ I’d highly recommend that one.
Another that should not be overlooked is Verdant Tea’s Mrs. Li’s Dragonwell, which I happen to be drinking now. The review of this tea will appear on the SororiTea Sisters blog tomorrow morning.
Both of these Dragonwell teas are superb. You should get both of them.
Wow – thank you for such a fantastic review, Liberteas! Loved reading about your experience, steeping by steeping. I’m so glad you were able to try Mrs. Li’s tea again this year, and that you enjoyed it as much as her 2013 harvest.
